These terms govern your use of the TAG Accountancy website. They do not govern the accountancy services we provide to clients — those are set out in the engagement letter we issue before we start work. If anything here conflicts with your engagement letter, the engagement letter takes precedence.

Nothing here is advice

Everything on this website is general information about accountancy and tax. It is not advice, and it is not a recommendation to take or refrain from taking any particular action. Tax depends heavily on individual circumstances, and the rules change frequently. Do not act on anything you read here without speaking to a qualified accountant about your own situation — that is what a free initial consultation is for.

We take care to keep the site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that every page reflects the latest rates, thresholds or HMRC guidance at the moment you read it.

Enquiries do not create a relationship

Sending an enquiry through this website, or speaking to us for an initial consultation, does not by itself make you a client. We become your accountant only once we have issued an engagement letter, you have accepted it, and we have completed the identity checks that anti-money-laundering rules require of us.

Fees and quotes

Any fee information on this site is indicative. Your actual fee depends on the work involved and will be confirmed in writing in a fixed-fee proposal before we start.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Our content

The text, layout, graphics and code on this site belong to TAG Accountancy or our licensors. You may read it, print it and share links to it for your own use. You may not republish it, sell it, or present it as your own without our written permission.

Third-party names and logos on this site — including the AAT, HMRC and the accounting software we work with — belong to their respective owners and are used to describe the services we provide.

Links to other sites

Where we link elsewhere, we do so because we think it is useful. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we exclude liability for any loss arising from reliance on information on this website. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our liability for the services we provide to clients is dealt with in the engagement letter.
